Frequently Asked Questions
Group Coaching vs One-on-One Coaching
What is the difference between one-on-one coaching and group coaching?
With one-on-one coaching, you get dedicated time with me, Sean Kosofsky, The Nonprofit Fixer, without interruptions, distractions, or other coaching clients needing my attention. This allows way more customization, time, depth, focus, and problem-solving. It comes at a higher cost because you get me all to yourself. With group coaching you are sharing my attention with your peers. This can actually be a very good thing because, in addition to getting my eyes and ears on your leadership journey, you also get to engage the advice and support of your peers. With group coaching, you are offering help and getting help and have way more people involved. Many people love group coaching, especially executive directors because you get to build a community of your peers, which is HIGHLY valuable.
What is the price difference?
Group coaching is $3000 for one year. (Bi-weekly group sessions + Slack Community + Courses + access to all courses)
One-on-one coaching is $6000 for 6 months and $12,000 for one year. (Bi-weekly 55-minute sessions + Access to courses and more)
Do you cover different things in group coaching than you would in one-on-one coaching?
Coaching is about change, goals, and transformation. Typically, in a one-on-one coaching arrangement, we do an intake questionnaire, then set goals and work toward addressing your personal and professional challenges, focusing on finding the answers yourself, but I will help when needed.
In my group coaching program, you also have the benefit of my Executive Director Boot Camp on-demand course.
How many people are in the group coaching program?
Currently the group coaching program has 11 people but the program is growing and may have 25 by the end of this year.
What are the pros and cons of group coaching vs 1:1 leadership coaching?
The main benefit of one-on-one coaching is the personalized attention. The main benefit of group coaching is that you get lots of people’s opinions, tools, resources and community support. The group coaching program is your absolute first stop if money is tight!
