CREATE A NONPROFIT “UNIQUE VALUE PROPOSITION” (UVP)
Use this free step-by-step guide to transform your fundraising and organizational storytelling.
Having an elevator pitch and a mission statement isn't enough. Nonprofits must be able to explain how they uniquely solve problems.
Most tools on the web for creating a UVP are lousy or only for businesses. This resource was custom-made for nonprofits.

For the longest time, nonprofits were told all they needed was a strong mission, vision, and case for support.
These are the building blocks for sure, but in an increasingly competitive funding world, we can turn to the marketing world for a trick that works - having a unique value proposition (UVP).
In short, we must be able to tell donors, funders, and volunteers why we matter, why they should care, and why our approach is effective. If we aren’t saying this, we will be lost in the noise.
Because UVPs were created by marketers for the private sector we must retrofit them to nonprofits. We must be clear on our ideal audience, the pain points they struggle with, the products we offer to alleviate that pain, the benefits they’ll receive with our solution, and why we are effective, even more effective than other actors/groups in our region or sector.
Once completed, this will exist in your toolbox of fundraising resources like your case for support, your pitch language, your development plan, and your annual report, among others.

"I just wanted to thank you so much for all of your help planning the Kidpower Board Retreat meetings this year. You really helped our planning team focus the agenda in a way that identified key items we wanted to accomplish—including redirecting us when we got off track—that helped the board generate actionable items to move forward on our key initiatives for the coming year. Your support helped us to be especially productive in our meetings and gave us clear direction for the months to come. Thank you!"
